The Root Pack Guide (No Hit/No Damage) – Cuphead

How to beat The Root Pack (No Damage) | Cuphead
*Time stamps relate to video above*

A guide/commentary on how to beat The Root Pack from the Botanic Panic stage without taking damage in Cuphead.

This is on the Regular difficulty in Cuphead, using the Peashooter weapon and the Smoke Dash charm.

The Root Pack tips

Phase 1 (Potato)

– Projectiles 0:22, Fires off 4 projectiles with the fourth able to be parried. As you do more damage the speed of these projectiles will increase, jump over projectiles keeping aware of the speed increase. The special move build up from the parries I would recommend saving to spam on Phase 2.

– You can even let this phase last longer in order to get five special attacks worth with parrying in order to maximise damage in phase 2.

Phase 2 (Onion)

– Teardrops 0:44, hold the fire button and then just focus on the teardrops no need to dash just walk out from under them. The pink ones can be parried although i’d recommend avoiding instead as they can have awkward timings and can get hit if miss the parry timing.

Phase 3 (Carrot)

– Falling carrots 1:04, Walk underneath the carrots and fire up to destroy so they can’t reach the ground/you, attacking the boss in between and whilst travelling between falling carrots.

– Hypnotic beam 1:25, Smoke dash out of the way when the beam is fired, don’t dash too early as he can fire at where you appear if early dashed leading to an easy hit. Also a good time to use built up special attacks.
