Oblobbles tips
Phase 1
– Positioning: You want to have both oblobbles on one side of you, if they pincer you it’s a lot trickier, if this happens in the fight using desolate dive is a good way to reset.
– Focus: Goal of first phase is to try and get one oblobble down as quick as possible, if you can damage both it shortens the second phase but the main goal is to get rid of one ASAP.
– Attacking: Best move is Shade soul, it can hit both and with the push back and size of hit box Shade soul normally hits twice. The push back is also very useful if it looks like your going to be pinned against the wall. Abyss shriek does a lot of damage when directly underneath but they can react weirdly even getting closer as they get hit, so use with caution if at all.
Phase 2
– Dodging: The bullet hell is a lot quicker so you want as much space as possible, and try to stay on the ground as much as possible. For every attack round normally 3-4 projectiles will approach you so when going for an up-strike I normally avoid the first two and shadow dash/I-frame the third.
– Damaging the Oblobble: So when you hit him on his side he will turn to the direction you hit, but if you hit underneath him he will carry on. So the pattern will be
1. Up strike on the oblobble crossing paths.
2. He will normally do 3 bullet hells, 1. As you pass, 2. When he’s on the other side of the arena, and
3. As returns. 3a. The third bullet hell is where you will cross paths again, avoiding the projectiles approaching and getting the upstrike. Repeat. 3b. Shade soul stills works great in this phase, but do remember that he will turn towards you so wait to use until 1. You’re sure it’s going to hit, and 2. that there is enough space between you both that you’ll be able to dodge his projectiles.
Alternative setup could include using more soul based charms such as soul catcher, spell twister, soul eater or additional nail extension with long nail/mark of pride combo.
