False Knight – Section Walkthrough (Link – No Commentary)

00:00

  • Follow path right, jumping over the two mobs.
  • Open-Room: Proceed up. Be careful of spike dropping at the start of the upper-left path.
  • Open-Room: Kill Vengefly mob and head to the upper-left path. be careful of spike falling on top platform although can be used to kill the 2nd Vengefly.
  • After reaching the Blue cocoon of Lifebloods, head right.
  • Drop through the floor as it collapses, jump onto the platforms over the spikes heading and proceed up once you reach the other side.
  • Continue until you reach and break the giant door.
  • Walk outside so your character shows on screen, then return back through the door
  • (We do this so we can quitout and spawn at this point saving time which we will use several times through this run. However, if you turn back immediately before moving out and showing the character on-screen, when you quitout you will spawn at the very start, not in-front of this door)
  • Head back. Once you reach the spikes, drop down and head right. Break Geo Rock.
  • Pogo, (Jump and downstrike the spikes whilst moving forward), over the spikes and continue until you reach a chest, open and get the “Fury of the Fallen” Charm (We don’t use this in Damageless but we need in order to increase charm count to purchase a charm notch later from Salubra).
  • Continue left, drop down and break Geo rock.
  • Quitout [Spawn will be outside Door)
  • Go right and drop into Well, head left, get Geo rock in first drop area, use camera to view down before dropping so to avoid mob, then continue left into large open room (Gruz Room)
  • Drop down platforms on the right hand side, using the right analog/or KB&M equivalent (camera) to view below so not to drop onto mobs. Kill mobs if they approach. Continue to the room below.
  • Continue down then right into Aspid room.
  • Aspid room: After killing the first Aspid 2 more shall appear, you can kill these normally or there is a spike that falls when you are on the upper left platform. If you hit the left side of the spike it will fire it diagonal right and will kill both new Aspids when they spawn if timed correctly. Continue right.
  • Jump over gap, go past worms, pogo over Vengefly and continue to next room.
  • Head to the upper right, jumping over/pogo-ing the Vengefly. The floor gap with the two worms can be jumped over. Continue going down-right afterwards.
  • Go up to the next room
  • Head left into the stag station room and unlock (Requires 50 Geo)
  • Go up past the two mobs (kill said mobs if easier), then go left past 3rd mob.
  • Follow path above Large mob with club, past next 3 mobs. Safest method is to kill the 3 mobs, but can be avoided as the round bugs can only charge on the ground and the tall bug only jumps, so you can jump over and under to get past. Again safest method in most situations is to kill them.
  • Head up to the False Knight fight, the mobs you can just jump over as they will die when the False Knight enters the arena. Which happens as you reach the left gate.

False Knight boss fight

  • False Knight – Takes 13 hits to stagger, meteors hit into FK counts as two hits. When he is grounded 8 strikes to the head causes him to get up. Meteors can be upstriked to avoid completely. After the 2nd Meteor rain he will breakthrough the floor/end the fight regardless of damage so focus on not taking damage.

Hornet – Section Walkthrough (Link – No Commentary)

07:18

  • Pick up City Crest, head left grabbing the Geo chest in the Upper left section (Geo is quite precise in this run so be sure to pick up from mobs you kill during the run. You need 2000 Geo after Soul Sanctum split, preferably 2050. The large mob before False Knight is a good spot to grind if necessary at 45 Geo per kill, although normally not necessary). Head left.
  • Head up, speak with the Shaman Snail and get Vengeful Spirit.
  • Head right avoiding mobs, continue until the mini-baldurs, the first two can be jumped over, the one with the spikes above use a vengeful spirit to kill. The next open room I prefer to kill the 1st Vengefly with a V.Spirit, then continue up to the left. The Baldur that rolls off I like getting a pogo on it as it goes past for soul, then kill the Vengefly and the next mini-baldur so you have full soul.
  • Baldur fight: He takes 4 V.Spirits, 3 can be done immediately with full soul. Then avoid the orange spits until he sends out a Mini-baldur, then approach him so he seals up. This is so you can deal with the mini-baldur without having to avoid the orange spits or further mini-baldurs, 3 hits kills the mini-baldurs and gives enough soul for a V.Spirit so after move away so the Baldur opens up and finish.
  • Continue left and grab the Soul catcher charm then break floor, speak to S.Snail, go to bench and equip Soul Catcher.
  • Head out down, left and up back into the large Gruz room heading to the path in the middle left side of the room. Would recommend getting a full soul gauge through striking/killing mobs on the way as the room will contain another Baldur fight.
  • Baldur fight is the exact same, the continue left.
  • Go up left, first mob is an explosive mob you can either kill or pogo over. With these, keep in mind after death their husk will explode afterwards. 2nd mob can be killed with 3 nail hits, 3rd mob is another exploding bug so would recommend dropping on the platform just before and using a V.Spirit. Then just before going to the left room there is a geo rock in the top right along with a venus-fly trap bug in the floor, kill the bug grab the dropped Geo and the Geo rock. Head left.
  • Next room just before continuing through to the left side, there are two bird-bugs that can be upstriked through the floor for soul, incase of doing fireball skip.
  • Two methods to skip to Hornet’s position:
  • Fireball Skip: Jumping from the edge, turning in the air firing 2 successive V.Spirits in the opposite direction to the platform using the knockback to get onto the platform. Or
  • There is a fly below that you can agro and lead up, and use to pogo on in order to reach the platform.
  • Continue left, upstrike the first fly to get out of way, head upper-left path, hit 2nd fly if in the way and continue out. Moss charger can’t catch if you don’t stop moving.
  • Head left to the upper-left exit of the room, the two bugs at the top use a V.Spirit to clear. There is two Geo rocks and another Venus-fly trap bug in the top right, grab this Geo also.
  • Head left and up. The mini-oblobbles can only fire diagonally so strike from the sides or directly above or below. Try to get a full soul gauge before going into the top room.
  • Head right. Moss Knight takes 1 nail hit and 3 V.Spirit (Hence needed the full soul gauge), strike once when he gets hit and then spam V.Spirits. Collect his dropped Geo then head right and straight up.
  • Head left killing mobs, Kill the Vengefly king above collecting the dropped Geo (Takes 5 hits and 2 V.Spirits), then dropping down to the next area.
  • Drop down and kill the two Moss knights and grab the Geo on the left side, the moss knights take (3 V.Spirits & 1 Hit or 2 V.Spirits & 4 Hits), afterwards drop down and go to the room below.
  • To the right of the 2nd highest platform is a breakable wall, break and there is a Relic that needs grabbing. There is a venus fly trap-like mob so keep to the walls baiting it out, it takes 4 nail strikes. After collecting the Relic head up then left to Hornet.

Hornet boss fight

  • Hornet – Dash attacks pogo over, V.Spirit when available, try not to stay directly next to the walls as if she does the AOE move you can’t avoid, the nail throw you can get a strike in between the throw and can pogo of the thrown nail to avoid if needed.

Gruz Mother – Section Walkthrough (Link – No Commentary)

19:19

  • Grab mothwing cloak and quitout [Spawn will be next to Snail Shaman]
  • Head down left, and follow the previous False Knight route until you reach past a room with no Worms.
  • Go down, going to the lower right exit, kill the jumping bug and grab the soul from the soul statue above to the right. This will give full soul for the Gruz Mother fight. Continue right until you reach Gruz Mother.

Gruz Mother boss fight

  • Gruz Mother – Start fight with 1 nail hit then 3 V.Spirits, it then takes 8 Nail hits to finish the fight. Keep Soul to get rid of small Gruz that spawn afterwards with V.Spirits.

Mantis Claw

22:38

  • Collect Geo dropped then drop down, and head left into open house to speak with Sly.
  • After speaking with Sly exit and head right to Salubra’s house to purchase the Shaman Stone charm.
  • Quitout [Spawn will be next to Shaman Snail]
  • Head out the same route back to the Aspid room, then this time going left to exit.
  • Drop down immediately and grab the 3 Geo rocks, then head upper left, and then down into Fungal Wastes.
  • Go right and drop down until you reach the right room entrance.
  • Rest at bench and equip Shaman Stone (this requires trying to equip the charm 5 times and will make you Overcharmed = Takes double damage)
  • Head out, down and left exit to the two Mushroom mobs.
  • Mushrooms – Recommend killing the small mushrooms in the middle of the arena at start for soul, the 2nd Mushroom will awaken after 5 nail hits on the 1st one. Would try to take out the first one with 3 V.Spirits first, so only dealing with the two mobs at once for shortest time possible.
  • Collect Charm Notch, head left and down. After you pass the small mushroom mob, head left and drop down there are two bomb spawning mobs, one on the ceiling and one on the left wall, you want to be holding left during the drop but not reaching the left wall until you are past this mob. Then going to the left room.
  • Go left, jump over the mob, and head up. This requires relatively quick platforming and grab the Relic at the top. If a bomb is approaching at the top use a V.Spirit to blow it up then Quitout [Spawn will be where equipped Shaman Stone]
  • Head the same way this time going right at the bottom.
  • Head right following the lower path so to avoid mobs.
  • You want to go to the bottom left exit in this room, path being right-down-left, be aware of the bomb spawning mob when dropping down dash left above it to avoid.
  • Continue left until you drop down, after which head to the bottom left exit in the large room.
  • You will drop into a room with two mushrooms directly below, kill these two and collect Geo from the statues on the right. Head down to the bottom right exit.
  • Head right, the standing Mantis’s can be jumped and dashed over, although wait for them to assume a charge position, the first flying mantis can be dashed under. After the 2nd Standing Mantis you are going to drop down and head left, there is a flying mantis on the roof you may want to strike it as you drop and then dash under it to go to the next room.
  • Head left drop down, be aware of another flying mantis on the ceiling. Head right dropping onto the platform with the standing mantis jumping over it and going to the next room..
  • Head left, V.Spirit the flying mantis on the ceiling. Head down the ground path V.Spirit the standing mantis’s and nail strike the flying mantis’s. Hit lever, head back and follow the upper path to grab the Mantis Claw.

City of Tears

30:38

  • Grab the two Geo rocks above, then backtrack slightly and go up to the room above.
  • On the very right you want to wall climb to grab the Relic, afterwards head to the top-right exit.
  • Backtrack up to the top.
  • Head right to the platforming section to City of Tears.
  • The Mushroom at the start can be pogo-ed to get over it, go through the section to the City of Tears. The levers don’t need hitting as won’t be returning here.
  • Continue right dashing under the explosive bugs, and jumping/dashing over the regular mobs. Head down.
  • Next room there is a normal mob, you can either drop down doing 1 nail hit & immediate V.Spirit or leave him to walk away and then jump/dash over. Continue heading down until you reach the bench with Quirrel, rest at the bench.
  • Head down, there will be a mob patrolling. You can either kill or I prefer to wait on the platform above and wait for it to just walk past and then jump over. Continue and below to the right of the elevator is a Geo chest & mob, kill mob and collect Geo. After drop down and go to the room on left.
  • Continue left to the Nailsmith and upgrade the nail, then Quitout [spawn at Quirrel bench].
  • Head down to the elevator, jumping onto the platform on the right. Continue to the top to grab a Relic, there will be a flying mob at the top so be sure to kill the mob before picking up the Relic. The Flying Mobs, these are best killing by striking above or below as they can only strike horizontally. Afterwards continue right to the top right exit.
  • The next room will contain a large mob, you can kill normally but I prefer to come in-and-out of the room until he does the charge attack which can be easily jumped/dashed over. Then drop down.
  • Go to Lemm and sell all relics, then head right open the door, grab the Geo chest in the upper left and send the elevator down but don’t get on it. Head back up.
  • Head up in the elevator, there will be 2 mobs kill both w/ 2 V.Spirits. Head up the next mob you can strike through the floor. The next lance flying mob use 1 V.Spirit then drop below and kill with a nail strike through the floor. Head up to the next room.
  • Aggro flying mob on the wall then drop down next to entrance for better position for upstrikes. Head up and kill Lance flying mob with 2 V.Spirits, if low on soul kill charging mob in lower left room. Hit lever to open door and drop down.
  • Use lever open door to go right, wall slide down to the room below left, Aggro the explosive bugs on the ceiling, dash away to avoid then reenter after they explode to grab the Rancid egg, Head up-right towards Soul Sanctum.
  • Head up left to elevator, at first stop kill flying mob for soul, back in elevator and head right.
  • Head to the right and a Soul Twister will spawn, Soul Twisters: Take either 2 V.Spirits or 1 V.Spirit and 2 Nail hits to kill, after killing head up.

Dreamnail

44:11

  • Head left, go on elevator and break left wall to Cornifer, then continue left until large open room.
  • Head up the top staying in the middle/right side, you’ll come across first a lance flying mob which you can move towards and he’ll move back into the spikes on the right building (Or kill normally). Next 2 will be normal flying mobs which can be upstriked. Don’t go too far left or you’ll aggro another lance mob. Head to the top right room, firing two V.Spirits to kill the mob inside, then grab the Simple Key item. Then head to the top left for the next room.
  • Head to the top right room for the Stag Station, there is a flying mob at the top of the room to be aware of.
  • Stag travel to Dirtmouth, (Stag station requires 200 Geo).
  • Go to Sly’s shop and purchase the Lantern (1800 Geo) & Rancid Egg (60 Geo), then return to the stag station and travel to forgotten crossroads.
  • Rest at bench, head out then to the top-upper right room/dark room (you need 50 Geo for the toll, kill the large mob before False Knight as it’s worth 45 Geo if short), continuing right past the toll until you reach Crystal peak.
  • Go past the Crystal turtle bug either killing or can jump over at the far right side, continue right and after the conveyor belt platforms head straight up
  • Kill Crystal Turtle bug for Soul, then wall climb and use 1 V.Spirit on the two miners drop back down and then upstrike them when they approach the edge. Be careful to not go up when the mob on the right is close as he does throw projectiles. Continue up killing the Crystal Turtle bug in way, them proceed to the upper left path.
  • Laser room, I’d recommend V.Spirit the Laser bug immediately above so to not be rushed, then when the lasers in the next room have passed, go past, wall climb up on the right and dash over. You’ll come to a mob, the safest way I’ve found to avoid is to dash off the raised platform, downstrike the breakable crystals below to regain dash, then dash to the wall over the mob, wall climb immediately. Head up and there’ll be a 3 laser bugs going around on a block you want to be climbing up the left side and going in the gap between the 3rd and 1st bug to progress when safe to do so, next I’d recommend V.Spirit the Laser bug on the right so not to be rushed and progress upwards, there will be two more laser bugs at the top so the timing is quite precise. (Don’t hang about too long as well as the 3 bugs from early will still be circling). Head to room avove
  • Next head up choosing the correct moment with the two laser bugs on the left, then you’ll come to a crossroads with 2 bugs on the wall above and below, the first thing you want to do is deal with the laser lizard in the room directly above, so when it is on the bottom of its platform jump and use a V.Spirit to kill it, afterwards kill the bug climbing the wall and then continue up that wall to grab the Shopkeepers Key item. Then enter the room where you killed the Laser lizard and head straight up to room above.
  • Continue right in the next room.
  • Continue right until you drop down hit the closed gate, then drop down the gap on the right keeping in mind the bug on the right wall, then again drop down on the right, going right to the next room.
  • Platforming section, continue through to get the Crystal Section. Mainly just requires practice, couple of tips being the lasers at the start last longer than later and the platforms can be flipped from spikes by pogo-ing on them.
  • After getting the Crystal Heart, Quitout [Spawn back at Forgotten Crossroads Bench]
  • Head to the Gruz Mother boss arena, then to Salubra and rest at that bench, then return to the Gruz mother arena and wall dash from the upper right to exit the room in the upper right corner.
  • Continue the C.Dash until you hit the wall, be aware there is a bug on the floor where you drop so be sure to avoid/kill. Then continue right as there is a rancid egg in the top right that needs collecting. Afterwards drop down and head right to the next room.
  • Head up and on entering the top room continue right until you reach the Dreamers monument , interact and continue to collect the Dreamnail.

Soul Warrior

55:19

  • Continue out right to the resting grounds, on the 2nd platform on the left there will be a room go in and collect the dreamshield charm, then on the right side there will be a Soul statue strike to fill up soul gauge. Then head up right and there will be a stag station, travel to Dirtmouth.
  • Head out of the stag station and C.Dash right to Jinn exchanging the 3 rancid eggs for Geo. Then travel back and purchase the Elegant Key from Sly.
  • Travel to City Storerooms, then head back the elevator outside Soul Sanctum heading up, unlocking the door and fighting the Soul Warrior.

Soul Warrior boss fight

  • Soul Warrior – Dash attack, jump over. Projectiles, try to lead into the wall or into the floor. Teleport, dash out of the way. V.Spirit is useful as with the pushback on the spell it normally does two hits. There are also randomly spawning floating blobs, the blobs take 2 nail hits. Recommend spamming V.Spirit as much as possible, both for damage and to take out the blobs. The blobs can be used for soul collection and to pogo on to go over the Soul Warrior if needed, but don’t let the number of blobs build up.

Uumuu

1:00:16

  • Collect Geo dropped from Soul Warrior, head up to get the Shade Soul by interacting with the mirror then continue right, down and right to Soul Sanctum.
  • Head up in the elevator stopping off to get the soul jar. A blob will appear behind on the floor, these take 2 nail hits. Continue up to a lever in the top left (Not up the elevator), you will come across 1 Soul Twister on each level/platform (2 in total). After hitting the lever continue up the elevator shaft, and in the room/area on the right a Soul Warrior will spawn.
  • Soul Warrior – This one does not spawn floating blobs. Dash attack, pogo over. Projectiles, try to lead into the wall or into the floor. Teleport, dash out of the way. Shade Soul is useful as with the pushback on the spell it normally does two hits. Try to keep 1 Shade Soul use saved up to deal with the Soul Twister in the next room.
  • After beating Soul Warrior, collect Geo dropped and head right into next room. A Soul twister will spawn if you attempt going up, kill it before progressing up. Don’t go down as it will cause a 2nd Soul Twister to spawn. Head up straight up the next room, be careful of the floor blobs as they charge as you approach, and turn very quickly if approached from behind.
  • The next room contains 3 Soul Twisters, one that spawns as you drop into the corridor with the soul jar, one as you when you drop to the bottom, and one as you go to the left side of the room. After killing the 3 continue to the top left area of the room just outside the entrance to the next room/Soul Master, head up to the ‘roof’ room, (wall climb on the left side, if you climb up on the right and the blob is there you will get hit without chance to react), collect the Spell Twister charm on the far right of the room. There will be two instances of blob spawns, once when you go in the center of the room and another when you go between/past the two chairs on the right side of the room. After grabbing the charm head back to the start of Soul Sanctum (Just after you killed the first Soul Twister) and head left. Quitout {Spawn will be at Salubra’s bench}.
  • Purchase the charm notch from Salubra, then at the bench equip Spell twister [Charm Setup: Soul Catcher, Spell Twister, Shaman Stone]
  • Head left through rooms (Backtracking your Gruz Mother/False Knight route) until you reach a room with acid below a small platform
  • Acid Skip: The next part will be a small platform above some acid, you want to position yourself on the right side of the platform, hold left walking off the platform to hit the wall, and do an immediate Crystal Dash, once you hit the other side, wall jump up (The timing I use is when the thud sound of hitting the wall is almost gone to wall jump), then continue down.
  • Continue down to the exit on the very bottom left of the room. Recommendation would be to slide down/staying close to the left wall the whole way, being patient with the electric clouds.
  • Continue left to the entrance of the Teacher’s Archives. Don’t hit the large jellyfish at all, an explosive will chase you.
  • Head into the Teacher’s Archives going down the right route (would recommend hitting the small jellyfish on the way to build up soul), and continue to Uumuu.

Uumuu boss fight

  • Uumuu – After 3 attacks Quirrel will appear, then in intervals of 2-3 attacks. Spam Shade Souls as much as possible for damage. You can get a Dreamnail off at the start for Soul and will knock Uumuu back, but after Quirrel appears the knockback no longer happens. For both electric clouds would recommend being on either the left or right wall to avoid, the random assortment of clouds you can wall climb up or down to avoid and the chasing clouds you can slide down the wall and proceed to the opposite wall.

Deepnest

1:14:23

  • Head down and deal with the dreamer, and then backtrack back out of the Teacher’s Archives.
  • Continue left breaking the wall to the next room.
  • Drop down, again avoiding the large jellyfish but striking the small ones for Soul, at the bottom right exit you can Crystal dash out.
  • Crystal dash past Queens station, stopping just after the large posion cloud-producing mob, dropping down to the room below.
  • Continue down to the bottom left of the room, dropping down to the next room. The poison cloud mob can be dashed under.
  • Head left, you can pogo past the first mob, and crystal dash from the wall over the 2nd mob to the next room.
  • Crystal dash to the other side, breaking the wall and continuing.
  • Once you jump over the gap towards the house, backtrack and the floor will break dropping you into Deepnest.
  • Go right and drop down to the next room, if an immediate ground earwig spawns use a Shade Soul to deal with.
  • Continue dropping down the right side, timing the armoured centipedes, and shade soul any bugs appearing, dropping into the next room.
  • Head left continue heading down until you have to go right, watch out for a hole that will appear in floor, and continue to where a centipede is travelling directly above. Follow it and drop down on the other side, following the path up to a point with a path above some spikes, this left path is the correct one, follow that going in an upper left direction where you’ll come to a drop down into a hot spring/onsen.
  • Build up Soul in Onsen then progress left.
  • Shade soul bug, head up Shade soul 2nd bug, head up being aware of the projectile spider on the ceiling then head left Shade soul Bugs 3 & 4 and continue to the room in the upper left. Don’t hang about after shade soul-ing the bugs as they will reanimate as spider-things.
  • Continue left until the drop down with the spike floor, and slide down the wall using a middle circle on the wall as the dash timing to get to the other side. Continue left until you reach a wall to climb above (this will be just before a large Scythe bug) climb up and head left. the next room.
  • Head left until the opening above, climb up and if you don’t have 1 souls use would recommend upstriking the small spiders on the left before climbing on top. Once you have 1 Shade Souls-worth climb to the right platform and a large spider bug will spawn, use a shade soul to deal with it and the two small spiders on the left. Continue left, when you climb the next wall another spider will spawn would recommend killing this with nail hits to build up soul. Continue through this room in a left, then up, then left fashion. This will take practice as there are different floor patches that break to spikes and spawning spiders, biggest tip would be using your shade souls to clear the areas in front and not remaining stationary as much as possible. Continue to the upper left room
  • Keep left, climbing up the left wall where a large emblem is in the background. You’ll come to a point where you can see a spider climbing on the opposite side of the wall to you, if you have a shade soul you can use to kill from this side, other wise head to the bottom and kill with upstrikes when it travels to the bottom. After killing the spider climb up to the left, drop down (a spider will spawn but as long as your speedy you don’t have to worry about it), and the floor to the right will break drop through and dash to the left over the spikes. Once you are on the path crystal dash to the next room as a large section of that floor breaks to spikes. CANCEL THE CRYSTAL DASH immediately when entering the next room.
  • Travel up into the beast den, sitting on the bench.
  • Beast Den: Head right after being captured, using Shade souls to kill the Scythe bug above (if you don’t have enough soul you can drop down below there are two small spiders you can build up soul from). Continue through, watching out for the next drop as two small spiders patrol so can easily drop into, use the camera/slide down wall to be sure not to drop into them. Continue right climbing up the wall on the far right, there will be a projectile spider on the ceiling, use a shade soul to get rid. Go left, jumping over the gap, kill the next projectile spider when it reaches the bottom of the wall. Continue to the top being careful of the spiders on each wall either upstriking or shade soul-ing. At the top going right you’ll break through the floor to a Grub on the right, head left again another spider will be on the wall deal with before wall climbing. Climb up, head left and you’ll come across another Scythe bug this one you can wait for it to approach, get it’s attack ready then jump-pogo-dash over it saving the soul as heading up afterwards will be the last Scythe bug which you can finish with Shade Souls. Continue right and get the Dreamer.

Watcher Knights

1:28:46

  • Head left and down, and there will be a floor part that will break next to the bench. Drop through head out and go to the upper right of the room where there will be a stag station.
  • Travel to Resting grounds.
  • Grab soul from the soul statue on the right before heading left to next room. Continue left and drop down to room below where came from Blue lake.
  • Head right there will a large mob that laps, wait until he is on the far left then jump and dash over. There will also be a flying mob after him but you can outpace by dashing.
  • Get lift down.
  • Continue to the bottom. Shade soul mobs.
  • Head immediately left at King’s Station
  • At the entrance to the next room, wall climb on the right and crystal dash to the other side of the room going left.
  • Go up in the elevator, and to get to the area above you have to jump, pogo on the breakable statues and dash/wall climb up. Then go to the room above. (The breakables will respawn by exiting and entering the room again if needed)
  • Deal with the two red mobs on the floor first, then wall climb a small amount on the left side to only aggro the left flying mob, beat with upstrikes, then aggro the right lance flying mob. This one you want to Shade soul when safe. After you need to kill the large mob behind the gate on the left, you can fire shade souls through the gate to damage it requires 5 Shade souls to kill so fire what you have then climb to the top and nail hit the 3 mobs at the top left of the room for the remaining. After the mob is done the gate will open and you can hit the lever above, which will open the door in the bottom right. Be careful when entering this room as there is a mob patrolling, the next two mobs can be beaten by striking through the floor. Climb up to the next room.
  • There is a flying mob on the right wall which you can beat with upstrikes or if it flys down you can also wall climb and dash over, go up the elevator and head up left until you reach JUST BEFORE the Watcher Knights arena.
  • Just before entering you can climb up there is a breakable roof, and up there is a breakable rope which drops a chandelier which takes out a Watcher Knight so you only have to deal with 5.

Watcher Knights boss fight

  • Watcher Knights – They each have 3 attacks: stationary 2 hit combo, roll on the floor, and two bounces in a ball. You want to be using Shade soul as much as possible, if you use S.Soul during the WKs roll going in the same direction you’ll get two hits with the one spell. Try to stay away from the walls as much as possible. You can also pogo on the roll and during the combo which can help get in a better position.
  • Head up and get the final Dreamer.

The Hollow Knight

1:39:58

  • Head down out of the spire and instead of left to the fountain, head out right.
  • On exiting, crystal dash from the wall over the edge of the platform, if you crystal dash from on top of the platform you’ll hit a platform mid-dash, right room.
  • Head to the upper right to the Kings station stag, and travel to Dirtmouth.
  • Head down the well, head right and crystal dash of the wall above.
  • Head into the temple and continue to The Hollow Knight.

The Hollow Knight boss fight

  • The Hollow Knight – Has 3 Screams/phase transitions, after the first HK will include projectile attacks (if you do a lot of damage at the start he can start using these before the scream), after the 2nd scream he will stab himself several times, and the 3rd after which he will walk slowly and only meaningful attack is the float in the air crashing down.
  • Attacks: Dash charge – can pogo over, or better jump over and fire a shade soul. 3 Combo – Jump and pogo over. Parry stance – hit once he lowers the parry, don’t strike as likely won’t be able to avoid. Horizontal spitting – If close enough jump over and pogo 2-3 times on HKs head, or pogo once and nail strike to back, if too far move further away and dash between a gap in the projectiles. Float in air to crash on the ground – Dash the opposite way that he approaches/going under him so he lands behind you, if comfortable you can also jump and strike as he drops. Dive-to-pillars – dash out of the way of the dive and walk into a gap between the appearing pillars, also a good time to use a shade soul.
