Father Gascoigne tips

Hunter Phase

– Start fight by heading left behind the tree, using it as a barrier if he shoots. – Bait an attack against the tree, the use the music box to stagger him. (On rare occasions he will walk past the tree, in this case circle the gravestones and use music box when he strikes tree/stones).

– As he staggers run up to the top of the stairs on the right.

– Here he can; 1/2: Do a walk up or jumping axe swing, both dodge past or 3: Shoot with pistol, dodge to side until he does either 1 or 2 to get past.

– After running down position on the other side of the fence on the left side from the gravestones, use the music box.

– Wait for music box cooldown, (takes a couple of seconds before he’s affected again), then use again to trigger Phase transition. (We do this as Molotov’s inflict more damage in his beast form).

– Move away from the stairs during the transformation as it has an AOE.

Beast Form Phase

– In this phase you want to run against the left corner, throwing Oil Urns & Molotovs above until he dies. Couple of things to note;

– If you walk too far away or left from this spot, it can encourage him to walk down the steps. In which case circle around the centerpiece behind, up the stairs and repeat from earlier.

– Too far to the right, towards the gravestones, puts you in his attack range and can strike you.

– In certain times, often the first couple of attacks after the phase transition, he can strike below his normal hitbox. The tell for this is when the build up for the flurry attack or the hang time on the jump (for his slam attack), is longer than normal. Which needs rolling away from then move back into position.
